Business Architect - Expert for Chief Information Architect Office

In response to banking regulations such as BCBS239, our client needs to develop an integrated set of data taxonomies and data concepts. The client is in the process of implementing data governance within the bank, this includes defining and modelling data in a consistent way across the bank. The bank is currently using the IBM FSDM as a reference model.

The Role:
  • To help to define the enterprise structures for the bank wide Information Model
  • To support in the design of the processes for managing the enterprise information model
  • To support and train Information architects in the organisation in the development of the model
  • To support in the identification of tools for managing the model
  • To define an Enterprise approach to information and data modelling – from requirements capture through to implementation, including the development of common standards / guidelines

Skills Required:
  1. Experience of Financial Services and understanding of Banking Data
  2. Experience of IBM FSDM
  3. Excellent communicator
  4. Ability to communicate with business and IT stakeholders
  5. Ability to work in a collaborative environment and win over stakeholders using rational logic
  6. Experience of working with Data and Information Modelling tools e.g. Mega / Hopex Information Architect, IBM DA, ERWIN
  7. Ability to draw on practical examples of how others have solved similar problems and apply experience
